Yes, today is Friday. That can mean so many things depending on your perspective.
For many people who work a Monday-Friday 8-5 or 9-5 “job”, Friday signals the end of that struggle and a couple of personal days. It generally draws a few celebratory cheers.
However, as salespeople and others involved in the building business, I like Fridays and look forward to them because they are a type of bridge – a high ground.
They allow us to look back at the calendar week just ending and to review what we accomplished, to examine what is still outstanding, to evaluate new opportunities or potential sales that have come our way, and to determine how we need to adjust our goals.
Fridays also allow us to look forward to the weekend – for those who see a large part of their customers on the weekends – and to the first part of the next week – for planning, strategizing, and scheduling.
Fridays should be energizing.
