Stay the Course and Make a Difference

Sometimes markets are good and we make a good income – sometimes we even think it will always be that way or even better.

Then slower times come – as they will if you’re in business long enough. Then you wonder how you’re going to make it without a steady paycheck coming in that you can count on.

Then the doubts kick in and we start thinking of getting a real job – outside of sales and outside of real estate.

The fact is, however, that any other job would represent a pay cut over time. It might be attractive now, but you would miss the sales and your heart just wouldn’t be with your new position. You would feel torn between a steady income doing something that is not your passion and an intermittent income by doing what you love.

So as attractive as it might be to have a steady income with a different full or part-time position or even a moonlighting situation, that same time, effort, and energy that would be consumed by a second job could be directed toward your real estate sales business to make a stronger, more significant impact on what you really enjoy doing.

Because of your passion, the longer hours and extra commitment won’t really matter because you’ll be doing what you like – and you’ll begin to have results to show for them.

As tempting as it is to jump to another ship, stay the course – full speed ahead!
