Watch Out for That Decimal Point – You Might Be Offering the Deal of the Century

I recently saw a listing on a commercial piece of property that had to be a misprint – it just had to be.

The listing said that the price was reduced and that the owner was motivated, but I doubt it was reduced this much or that the owner was this motivated.

Can you imagine 34,928.00 acres being advertised for only $299,000? Why that’s just $8.56 an acre!

I don’t really know what the correct size is supposed to be but it doesn’t look very big in the picture. I imagine the agent had plenty of phone calls though. A little proofreading would have prevented this – unless it really wasn’t a mistake after all.

Do you suppose that this was an intentional typo just to get the phone to ring?
