I didn’t say that you should forget about knowing what time it is and in being on time for appointments. All I said is that you can make it through life without a wristwatch. I have for years.
Your cell phone has a clock on it. Before that there was the PDA. Before that there was the time and temperature number that you could call.
When you’re out in public, there often is a TV with CNN or some other news station on that displays the time in the corner of the screen. There are many public clocks as well, and most cars have clocks in them.
And you can also ask someone with a watch for them to tell you the time. People like to oblige, and it gives you a reason to practice talking with people.
Don’t have a watch? No problem, you’ll do just fine.
