If you remember the movie "Brewster's Millions" - the baseball movie starring Richard Pryor and John Candy - Brewster ran for the Mayor of New York City on the platform of "none of the above." He didn't really want to be Mayor, and he didn't want any of the other candidates elected either.
You may also remember taking a test in high school or college - or the University of Housing - where one of the choices in a multiple choice question was "none of the above."
That's the way I feel about President Obama's claims to jumpstart the economy.
Tonight he boldly advanced that his health-care reform plan is the key to rebuilding the economy. Seems he said the same thing about TARP, Stimulus, Omnibus, Cap and Trade ....
Which is it? It can't be all of them? Maybe it's none of them. That's it. It's none of the above.
Maybe good old free enterprise will do it - again - if you leave us alone.
