Hot Dogs Declared Safe

Hot dog, frankfurter, wiener, tube steak - call it what you like. The hot dog is Americana, and it has been declared safe to eat.

Just in time for Opening Day for the 2011 Major League Baseball season on March 31st, the latest study which finds hot dogs are safe to eat.

I think nearly everyone who likes hot dogs would agree that there's nothing quite like a dog at the ballpark. It's a flavor hard to produce anywhere else. It's a must have for any fan.

It turns out that pepperoni and deli meats are relatively harmless also in terms of what had been thought to be carcinogenic substances in the nitrates.

The surprising part of this study is that rotisserie chicken - especially the skin - is riskier to eat than the hot dogs and prepared meats.

This is great news for all the backyard cookouts also.
