The President showed that he knows how
to help the US become energy independent and get the economy humming
again. He also showed that he is unwilling to do anything about it.
Making jokes with his base, he
castigated the Republicans for having a 3-point plan to improve the
economy, with point 1 being "drill," point two being "drill," and point
three "keep drilling." Truer words were never spoken. Unfortunately, he
was yucking it up and not giving the issue the serious attention it
deserves.
This 3-point plan - regardless of whose name is attached to it, including his - is exactly what we need.
This is no joking matter, Mr. President.
