"Curiosity Is Indispensable"

To me the single most important quality of an effective and successful salesperson is the innate ability to ask questions - it can't be taught. It can be developed, but it has to be there from the beginning.

While product knowledge is important, it can be taught. The innate ability to ask questions because of a sense of curiosity and inquisitiveness is very special and cannot be taught. This is what we need to look for in ourselves and those whom we hire.
